Kayuga Solar Farm is located within the NSW Hunter-Central Coast Renewable Energy Zone and intends to connect into existing transmission lines. The site is highly constructable with its favourable topography, and is generally free from flooding, BSAL, and Aboriginal heritage constraints.

The development site is located in the Muswellbrook local government area. The site has an indicative footprint which covers around 270 hectares. The site has easy access via the New England Highway.

The project is a State Significant Development under the NSW Environmental Planning and Assessment Act 1979. The NSW Government will be the planning authority. Under this planning framework, a scoping report will be prepared, which is a summary of key environmental and social factors relevant to the project. The NSW Government will then release the secretary environmental assessment requirements, which specifies the technical assessments required by the Department to make an appropriate assessment of the project.

Dawn is developing this project in partnership with European Energy.
