Dawn Renewables Begins Early Investigations for Major Solar Project in Bundaberg

Australian clean energy developer Dawn Renewables is pleased to announce they have commenced initial site investigations for a proposed 200 to 300-megwatt (MW) solar farm in Northern Central Queensland.  

The potential project is a 600-hectare site located approximately 45 kilometres west of Bundaberg, marking a significant step forward in expanding the region’s renewable energy footprint.  

As preliminary environmental, technical assessments get underway, Dawn Renewables has placed local consultation at the heart of the project’s development roadmap.  

The Brisbane-based developer emphasises its commitment to open communication, working closely with local landholders, regional stakeholders and Bundaberg Regional Council to gather feedback and address community perspectives.  

If approved, the proposed solar farm represents a substantial clean energy asset for Northern Central Queensland. At 200-300MW the site could generate enough zero-emission electricity to power tens of thousands of Queensland homes and lay the foundation for future local job creation and direct economic investment for the broader Bundaberg area.
